A unique and personal experience only 40km from the city centre
Our Half Day Trip consists of a guided tour lasting about two hours, meeting Khan the leopard, the biggest lion in Africa, Kylie the Hyena, our marmoset family, servals, caracal, civet, endangered blue duiker, crocodiles, vervet monkeys, baboons etc. Hands-on contact with some of the animals is possible. Feeding the crocodiles and marmosets is part of the tour.
This is followed by morning tea and cakes, usually surrounded by our farm animal family who roam free within the Sanctuary grounds and frequently our troupe of Banded Mongoose!
Meet our rehabilitated owls and other birds as well as any orphans that we are currently raising. It is unique and personal way of seeing our wildlife up close and hearing the stories of their lives.

Quest Africa is a 7 month Life-skills programme for young men aged between 17-21, based in Esigodini (adjacent to Falcon College) which runs between February and August every year and includes:
o Natural acumen – Environmental principles, principles of game farming and the Hunter's and Guides learner licence; all geared towards careers in the African safari, travel and tourism industry.
o Technical acumen- Basic mechanics, plumbing, electrics and welding, through design and technology to the International computer driver's licence.
o Business acumen – Entrepreneurial skills, finance for non financial people including basic bookkeeping and budgeting, marketing, HR, research methodologies, data collection and interpretation.
o Adventure sports- Off-road cycling, abseiling, kayaking, orienteering, rock climbing, physical training, basic healthcare and emergency techniques.
o Social Skills- Public speaking and debating, etiquette, emotional intelligence, communications and conflict management, laws of leadership and development of a young persons inherent leadership potential and sense of identity.
o Stewardship – A real understanding of the natural and social environment and the importance of community service and environmental sustainability.
Only 24 young men will be accepted on the programme for the 2011 intake.
